No California love for Hill
Timmy Hill (#15)and Jennifer Jo Cobb (#41) both had a rough outing at the Auto Club Speedway this past weekend in California. With both never competing on the track and the young RWR team still trying to figure out the NEW car in the Nationwide Series showed just how tough this series can be.
Hill qualified his Ford in the 32nd position as Cobb managed to put her Lilly Trucking Ford, 40th on the grid.
"This place was tougher than we expected and never really got a hold of the track until the last 40 laps of the race, even though we turned nearly 130 laps of practice," Hill stated.
Cobb struggled with the setup and ultimately felt that the car was just to "far out" to compete without possibly wrecking it and ended up 38th on the day.
Hill stayed true all day to figure out the track and car and finished 32nd on the day.
"We learned a ton today and I think we can show that next week at Texas," claimed Hill.
