Tyler Hill ties record for wins with 10!

Tyler Hill has made this a season to remember! The youngest Hill won his 10th race of the season in the Allison Legacy Series, this time at Florence Speedway, tying the record set by his older brother Timmy Hill, who claimed the National title in 2009.

"It has been a great season so far. We have 10 wins in 11 races this year and have a commanding points lead. We are not ready to slow down, we want to finish this thing through," stated Tyler.

Hill has been on a terror in 2011 not just in the Allison Series. Tyler won the Red, White and Blue Championship during the Summer Shootout in the Legends Series at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

"We still have some work to do on the other series but it is getting there."

Tyler will now set his mark on number 11, the record breaker.

"To have the record is great, to have the championship is what we really want. If we keep doing what we are doing, great things can happen and that is our main focus!"

Hill stays on "Poynt" finishes 22nd holds rookie lead

Timmy Hill stayed on "Poynt" with his new sponsor and finished 22nd in a grueling race at Chicagoland Speedway on Saturday and maintained his NASCAR Nationwide Series Sunoco Rookie of the Year points lead at two.

"We battled a tight car early this weekend but the guys worked really hard to free it up for qualifying and put us in a good position for the race," stated Hill.

Timmy qualified his Poynt #15 Ford in the 26th position and battled rookie contender Blake Koch throughout most of the race until a vibration caused the 18 year old to pit out of sequence.

"Something was vibrating hard on the right front and we didn't need to take the chance on it so we brought it in to see what it was," continued Hill.

After a quick pit stop, the crew sent Hill back into battle where he moved from the 35th position up to the top 25.

"The tire was loose," claimed crew chief Bobby Burrell after inspection of the vibration problem. "Lets go get em back now!"

Hill answered the call and within the last 15 laps picked up three more positions to finish 22nd on the day.

"We did exactly what we needed to do," claimed Hill after the race. "This team has the heart of a champion and we will always get what we can against these bigger teams. It was a battle this weekend and we came out unchanged. With just 6 races to go, we have to keep digging and these guys always have my back."

The RWR team will have a week off to work on the fleet of cars for the final stretch of races in the 2011 season before heading to Dover on October first.

Poynt becomes primary sponsor of RWR and Timmy Hill

Poynt Corporation (TSX-V: PYN) (“Poynt Corp.” or the “Company”), a global leader in mobile local search and advertising, and Rick Ware Racing (“RWR”) today announced the Company’s flagship application, Poynt (“Poynt” or the “App”) will be the official sponsor of RWR in the NASCAR Nationwide Series. Rookie points leader Timmy Hill will champion the Ford No. 15 entry for Poynt Corp. and RWR.

Hill will be driving the Poynt branded NASCAR Nationwide Series Ford in this week’s September 17, 2011 Nationwide Series event at the Chicagoland Speedway, IL in the Dollar General 300. The race will be broadcast at 3:30pm ET on ESPN 2 in the United States and on Speed network in Canada.

“NASCAR reports they are the number one spectator sport and the number two rated regular-season sport on television,” said Andrew Osis, President and CEO of Poynt Corp. “This is the perfect opportunity for Poynt to continue to expand brand awareness in North America by targeting this audience.”

Added Osis, “NASCAR fans are some of the most loyal fans in the world and to have this incredible opportunity to put the Poynt brand in front of those fans both at the track and via televised races is extremely exciting.”

“We are very excited to have Poynt on the car with Timmy Hill this weekend and for the remainder of the 2011 season,” stated owner Rick Ware. “Their organization strives on excellence and it is a perfect match for the Rookie of the Year point leader, Timmy Hill.  The App is already widely used throughout the country and our organization has been using Poynt for the past several months.”

Poynt Corp. will continue its sponsorship with RWR until the end of 2011 in the NASCAR Nationwide series. A full race schedule for Poynt’s No. 15 car can be found at http://nationwide.nascar.com/nationwide-series/races/2011/schedule/index.html
