Fresh off his 2012 Nationwide debut and a strong run at Bristol, Jeffrey Earnhardt heads to Barber Motorsports Park in Alabama for the 2nd race in this years Grand Am schedule. The Rick Ware Racing Team will run the familiar #15 Ford Mustang that made it's debut at Daytona for the 24 Hours of Rolex season opener. With season long sponsorship from Poynt.com the team is fully focused on gaining championship points while searching for their first podium of the year. “Jeffrey is a great road racer and we are excited to have him focused on the Grand Am schedule for the time being. He has the talent to drive up front and we were able to work out the kinks on this Ford Mustang during the tests and race at Daytona. This should be a breakout race for the team and for all of the drivers.”, stated Rick Ware.
Chris Cook will again be behind the wheel as co-pilot, bringing a vast knowledge of road course racing along with coach qualities. “Chris is not only a go to guy when it comes to road racing but he has also taught and mentored some of the best NASCAR drivers in their search for road course wins. Having him as a driver is exciting enough but to have him mentor Jeffrey as well is really awesome. I can't wait to see how they run the remainder of the season!”, stated Rick Ware.
