About Dave Mitchell

Dave Mitchell started his career in motorsports in an unorthodox manner. Though he grew up watching races at Kil-Kare Speedway in Xenia, Ohio at just age 4, it wasn't until his 30's when he made the jump into on his own.
His first move into racing began with creating the first website for a new driver in NASCAR, Ryan Newman. The comprehensive website followed Newman around the ARCA, Busch and Cup Series' and was the backbone of his internet presence with Mitchell's photo and statistical information.
Mitchell then started writing articles and race reports on upcoming drivers across the United States and parlayed that into one of only two websites that rated developmental drivers across the country, known as the Racers Report.
Before too long his little website attracted hundreds of thousands of drivers, teams and fans monthly wanting to know Mitchell's insight on the next "Big Deal" in NASCAR.
Traveling all across the country to USAC events, Mitchell got his first break doing work for a developmental driver at Penske Racing which placed him with the higher ranks of the organization and their NASCAR affiliation.
After two years of working with Penske Developmental Drivers, Mitchell got a call to join MacDonald Motorsports in the NASCAR Nationwide Series and moved to North Carolina.
His challenge at MacDonald Motorsports consisted of taking a part-time team to a full-time level in the Nationwide Series with Canadian star, DJ Kennington. Within months, Mitchell had changed the image of the organization and landed sponsorship from the world's largest manufacturer, Mahindra Tractors to complete the companies portfolio.
Working with Kennington was a blessing as the two pushed the envelope in marketing, providing DJ the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series' Most Popular Driver Award in 2008.
In 2009, Mitchell decided he was ready for the next chapter and moved to the Rick Ware Racing organization where instantly they clicked. In three months, they started a Nationwide team and won the AMA Arenacross title. They backed that title up with a WMA Championship and a trip to the X Games while also starting the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series team. The team also won the NASCAR Whelen Modified Championship at Bowman Gray Stadium.
In 2010, Mitchell coined the teams motto of the "Biggest Little Team in Motorsports" and the organization moved to a part time Nationwide, two full time Camping World Truck Series teams, K&N East and West, ARCA, Legands and Allison Legacy cars at the same time still running the AMA Arenacross and motocross seasons.
Mitchell and Ware have went into the record books on several NASCAR firsts and look to make more history in 2011 with their entrance into the Rolex Grand Am Series, and with rookie standout Timmy Hill.
