Iowa yields first engine woes in 2 years for RWR
Timmy Hill was set for another top 20 at Iowa Speedway this past weekend but with just 25 laps remaining, the power plant on his Ford Mustang expired.
"It is a tough blow with the way we were running but this is the first engine problem the organization has had since Daytona of 2009 and my first DNF of the season," stated Hill. "That was something we were proud of coming into the race. We were one of only 3 teams without a DNF on the season and we were looking forward to the challenge of standing alone in that catagory."
Hill finished 30th on the day but remained at the top of the Sunoco Rookie of the Year standings. "We are looking forward to Charlotte and the opportunity to get back the points we lost."
